From Family Restaurant Roots to Your Trusted Partner
After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2016, I began my career at my father’s business, Gattitown, working alongside his longtime bookkeeper to learn the financial operations that keep a restaurant running — paying bills, maintaining the books, processing payroll, and assisting with tax return preparation.
As I implemented new software and streamlined our processes over time, an opportunity became clear: these were services other business owners needed too. That realization led me to launch Frye Advisors and begin offering bookkeeping services more broadly.
In 2020, I brought on my first full-service restaurant client, Giuseppe’s Ristorante Italiano. By identifying tax opportunities specific to the food and beverage industry, we helped Giuseppe’s recover $50,000 in federal tax credits — credits that, importantly, recur each and every year. It was a turning point. Between having grown up in the family restaurant business and witnessing the meaningful impact an engaged accountant can have on a restaurant owner’s bottom line, I made the decision to focus exclusively on the food and beverage industry.
